Obama announces exploratory committee, sits atop Drudge, with siren.  I guess this week's Oprah appearance will just be to soak up the rejoicing and adulation.

Word is Obama will discuss the launch with supporters in a noon-time conference call.

The decisions that have been made in Washington these past six years [Bush sucks], and the problems that have been ignored, have put our country in a precarious place. Our economy is changing rapidly, and that means profound changes for working people [raise taxes on high earners]. Many of you have shared with me your stories about skyrocketing health care bills [socialize health chare], the pensions you've lost [watch me beat up on corporate fatcats with the swift sword of "oversight" for the next two years] and your struggles to pay for college for your kids. Our continued dependence on oil [windfall profit taxes, subsidies for whatever alternative energies the free market doesn't find worth funding] has put our security and our very planet at risk [Gore bowed out; dibs on the environment angle] . And we're still mired in a tragic and costly war [suck it, Clinton and Edwards] that should have never been waged [shoo-wee, I'm glad I wasn't around for that vote].
