Hot Air: Location Baghdad

Michelle and Bryan have returned from Iraq, where they spent a week embedded with Forward Operating Base Justice in Baghdad, pampered at the luxurious Tiger's Lair.  The first installment of their video series is now online.

A telling quote, referring to Iraqi civilians they met:

No one we talked to wanted American troops to withdraw.  There was universal agreement that abandoning the mission would be a disastrous capitulation to 2-bit thugs and rogue operators.

Future installments will include interviews with commanders and local Iraqis, as well as their finding relating to the Associated Press' "media malpractice".

Bryan has much, much more at Hot Air, as does Michelle at her blog,

I came to Iraq a darkening pessimist about the war, due in large part to my doubts about the compatability of Islam and Western-style democracy, but also as a result of the steady, sensational diet of “grim milestone” and “daily IED count” media coverage that aids the insurgency.

I left Iraq with unexpected hope and resolve.
