Possible Explosives At Port of Miami
Miami Dade Police are saying a bomb squad has found a suspicious device which has tested positive for C4 near one of the cruise terminals at the Port of Miami.
Just yesterday, the occupants of a cargo truck were detained upon trying to sneak past port security without proper identification or acknowledging the presence of two hidden passengers.
Per Allahpundit, the bomb squad has blown up the device.
CBS is broadcasting live footage from the scene (via Political Pit Bull, by way of Jawa).
Yesterday's mess seemed like the result of more than just a language barrier. A dry run, a security probe, a CAIR-baiting hoax, or maybe just some very stupid Michiganders.
Today's wrinkle makes one stop and ponder a little more ominously. Certainly with the ramped up security at the Port of Miami (extra personnel, extra vigilance, extra nerves), there's a greater possibility of identifying suspicious situations that turn out to be non-threats. Still, with the multiple tests run on the device all confirming the presence of plastic explosives, explaining it all away with coincidences, miscommunications, and false positives start to seem somewhat less likely.

I think the city of Miami should sue these guys. They should sue them for wasting taxpayer money due to their attempt to slide through security and while we are on the subject perhaps port security should sue them for slander.
