Jewish Kos Diarist Has "Crush" On Ahmadinejad

And you thought Daily Kos was a hate site...

Why I Have A Little Crush on Mahmoud Ahmadinejad

I know I’m a Jewish lesbian and he’d probably have me killed. But still, the guy speaks some blunt truths about the Bush Administration that make me swoon...

Okay, I admit it. Part of it is that he just looks cuddly. Possibly cuddly enough to turn me straight. I think he kind of looks like Kermit the Frog. Sort of. With smaller eyes. But that’s not all...

I want to be very clear. There are certainly many things about Ahmadinejad that I abhor — locking up dissidents, executing of gay folks, denying the fact of the Holocaust, potentially adding another dangerous nuclear power to the world and, in general, stifling democracy. Even still, I can’t help but be turned on by his frank rhetoric calling out the horrors of the Bush Administration and, for that matter, generations of US foreign policy preceding.
...
Monday, when Ahmadinejad speaks at Columbia University in New York, I’ll be listening.  Maybe with a bottle of wine and some soft music playing in the background.  If I can get past the fact that, as a Jewish lesbian, he’d probably have me killed, I’ll try to listen for some truth.

Proof that loves knows no religion or sexual orientation when it comes to Bush Derangement.

(HT: LGF, which has a screen cap, on the off chance this diary up and vanishes.)

Unbelievable... I am wondering if she were to get her wish, (Bush swapped for Amanedej... or however you spell it) and they are bagging her up to drag her to the stoning stadium, would she think back to halcyon days of the USA when Bush president? Or would she just be thrilled anyone but Bush was having her stoned to death?

You know, I really want to comment, but the gobsmacking transcript of what she said just stands there looking at you--like when you turn a corner on your way to lunch and there, in front of you, is an escaped mental patient who is suddenly very interested in staring you down. Just...?

Just before 2004 election took place and President Bush was re-elected, I remember seeing an interview on TV where he was asked supposing if he lost the election what he would do. I was very shocked by his answer. He said that if he lost, he would simply go back to living an ordinary live as a civilian in Texas! That was when I knew that President Bush was not just a pragmatic politician but a statesman. Only a statesman can give such a response. I will like to remind people who dislike President Bush that he is not a dictator and that he was democratically elected by the majority of the American voters. People should give this man a break and stop bashing him. If you want to bash, then bash the real beast, the real cause which is politics. Politics is the real cause of all the problems that people blame President Bush for and the only way to solve all of them once and for all is to abolish politics. Would you be ready for that? Would you be ready for a dictatorship? Would you be ready to sacrifice your life for it? So be careful about bashing President Bush because you may end up getting what you are indirectly wishing for. Let us leave this man alone and allow him to finish the job he was elected to do.
