At Least We Should Get a Good South Park Out Of It
The world wakes up to stunning news today.
The Norwegian Nobel Committee has decided that the Nobel Peace Prize for 2007 is to be shared, in two equal parts, between the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) and Albert Arnold (Al) Gore Jr. for their efforts to build up and disseminate greater knowledge about man-made climate change, and to lay the foundations for the measures that are needed to counteract such change.
Gore's people say he's still not running, despite fellow Peacelaureate Jimmy Carter's apparently bothersome urgings.
"I've called Al Gore and urged him to run for president so many times," former President Carter told NBC's "Today" show. "He finally told me the last time, 'President Carter, please do not call me.'"
Prizemaster Ole Danbolt Mjoes insists there's no political agenda behind the Peace Prize selection, thus taking himself out of the running for this year's Nobel Consistency Prize.

All the MSM and world leaders should put their phone numbers on the Jimmy Carter "Do Not Call" list. I wouldn't want him calling me either. This Nobel Peace Prize has become a joke. Why do so many people put so much weight on it? It hasn't been about Peace for decades.Posted by: Terri | Oct 12, 2007 10:40:41 AM
